Getting to Know: Daquon Green

The Gators gained a big addition to their lineup for the 2017 season in the form of Daquon Green, a four-star wide receiver out of Tampa (Fla.) Tech.

Green, who was committed to Florida for 18 months, showed no indecision, opting not to take other official visits.

Today it's time to learn a little bit more about Green on a personal level in this edition of Getting to Know.

I know you were looked at by a bunch of different schools, what was the initial reason you chose to come to Florida?

“My initial reason was because first academically they are one of the top schools academic wise and have the highest graduation rate. And then, football wise, I am the perfect fit for the system and the coaches, Coach Mac is really true to his word and he is really making the changes he said he will. In the 2017 class, we are gonna be making a lot of changes, big changes.”

What do you think you can add to the team?

“I’m gonna add more intensity and pick up the pace more. Playing as one and playing as a unit, bring more out of the players and the veterans and have an undefeated season.”
