The conversation surrounding head coach Jim McElwain's 2017 squad is changing drastically. Florida (3-3, 3-2 SEC) entered the month in the driver's seat in the SEC East as the only team with three conference wins. After last Saturday, it was still considered a contender for a trip to the conference championship game. Entering the bye week, the talk will now be about about whether UF will finish the season bowl eligible. Despite the dramatic shift in the outlook for the Gators, McElwain said he still believes in them.

"I believe in these guys," McElwain said. "I believe in this team. We'll continue to push and get a little bit better. We got a lot of ball ahead of us and a lot of good teams and we're going to take care of our business."
