On Sunday many of the top prospects in the state of Florida and a few from the southern part of Georgia will make their way to Orlando to compete in the Rivals Three Stripe Camp presented by Adidas. This camp will showcase many of the top prospects from the class of 2018, 2019, and 2020.
Many of these playmakers have the Florida Gators as a factor in their recruiting process. Inside the Gators will take a closer look at some of the names to watch.
QUARTERBACK
The lone signal caller participating on Sunday with the Gators in the mix is Orlando (Fla.) Olympia Rivals250 quarterback Joe Milton. The four-star has taken two visits to Florida this past week, and also was offered as well. Milton maintains his is open with his recruitment, but the Gators have a ton of confidence on their end after offering. Looks for Milton to make a commitment sometime in the spring.
RUNNING BACK
Since the arrival of new running backs coach JuJuan Seider Florida has been busy adding new names to their running back board. Though there aren’t many names expected to participate on Sunday who have Florida thick in the mix, there are a few of note.
Five-star running back Lorenzo Lingard committed to Miami last month but had the Gators in the mix before ending his recruitment. He seems very solid with the Hurricanes at this point in time, but expect many programs to continue to chase him.
Though he is committed to Alabama, 2018 running back Dameon Peirce visited Florida on Saturday. The Peach State back also seems solid in his commitment at this point, but the door isn’t completely shut on his commitment.
Another running back with a Florida offer expected at camp on Sunday is 2019 running back Trey Sanders, who by the way is also committed to Alabama.

WIDE RECEIVER
At the wide receiver position it’s Florida commit Jalynn Williams leading the group. The three-star commit has been solid in his pledge to the Gators since pulling the trigger earlier this year.
One of Florida's biggest targets for the 2019 class will also be out on Sunday in Dunnellon (Fla.) wide receiver Maurice Goolsby. The Gators currently lead in this recruitment.
Florida is also leading for Lakeland (Fla.) 2019 tight end Keon Zipperer. Another big time 2019 prospect that could see time at wide receiver at the next level is Saint Simmons Island (Ga.) Frederica Academy 2019 athlete Jashawn Sheffield. Ocala (Fla.) Vanguard 2020 athlete Leondard Manuel is also expected. He also visited Florida earlier this week.
OFFENSIVE LINE
With the offensive line as deep at it is in the state of Florida for the 2018 class, it isn't a surprise that this is one of the most loaded positions at the camp.
This list will be headlined by Apopka (Fla.) Rivals100 offensive tackle William Barnes, who is looking to land the MVP award again for the second straight year. This four-star is one of the top targets on the Gators offensive line board, and he’s been to campus numerous times.
Another top target on the Gators radar is Tampa (Fla.) Cambridge Rivals100 offensive tackle Richard Gouraige. At this time North Carolina and Clemson seem to have the edge, but the Gators have been a factor in this recruitment.
Yet another top lineman the Gators are in one is Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips Rivals250 offensive tackle John Campbell. The Gators recently made the cut in his top 12 and factor rather high for his commitment currently.
Rivals250 offensive tackle Cleveland Reed will also be on hand. He has Miami leading the Gators currently.
Four-star offensive guard Curtis Dunlap will also be participating after visiting the Gators earlier this week.
In the 2019 class the Gators have also offered Lakeland (Fla.) offensive guard Deyavie Hammond, and lead early on for him.
Ocala (Fla.) Vanguard 2020 offensive tackle Miller Lewis will also be making the trip down after taking a visit to Florida earlier this week.
DEFENSIVE LINE
With not many top defensive lineman in the state of Florida this cycle the list is a little thin when it comes to Florida targets. One participant expected the Gators have extended an offer to is Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Bay Tech defensive end Jonathan King. The three-star has visited Gainesville on numerous occasions, but has yet to name any formal leaders at this juncture.
A prospect expected on Sunday the Gators have not offered is Kissimmee (Fla.) Gateway defensive end Dennis Briggs. The Miami Hurricanes have offered and seem to be the team to beat currently.
LINEBACKER
After loading up at the position in each of the last two cycles, linebacker is a position where Florida can afford to be a bit picky. A few prospects expected on Sunday the Gators are still evaluating are Tallahassee (Fla.) Chiles four-star Amari Gainer and Seffner (Fla.) Armwood linebacker James Miller.
Florida has yet to offer either prospect at this time.
One name expected on Sunday that does hold an offer from the Gators is Fort Pierce (Fla.) Central linebacker David Reese. At this time Florida State and Miami seem to be teams sticking out the most.
SECONDARY
Defensive back is another position that will be very deep in Orlando. Headlining the bunch will be Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian five-star safety Tyreke Johnson. Florida hosted Johnson on campus last month and are great shape to land him at this point.
Though he is listed as an athlete, another top prospect Florida sees in the defensive backfield is Rivals250 athlete Amari Burney. The Gators are currently in the top two along with Ohio State, and seem like the odds on favorite heading into his summertime decision.
Earlier this week the Gators hosted Jensen Beach (Fla.) four-star safety Jamien Sherwood, and on Sunday he will take to the field to compete. Early on Florida, Florida State, and Miami are in great shape to land him with Tennessee and Oregon also in play.
Finally, another prospect the Gators are in on early on is Orlando (Fla.) Jones three-star cornerback Sevyn Banks. He is the little brother of current Florida safety Marcell Harris.
ATHLETE
Another prospect of note that can play on either side of the ball at the collegiate level is Ocala (Fla.) Vanguard athlete Justin Watkins. The four-star is currently committed to Texas, but is on his third commitment to date after former pledges to LSU and Florida State. Living as close as he does to Gainesville, it’s likely to see Watkins to continue to visit with the Gators despite being committed to the Longhorns.
