FLORIDA HAS TWO OF THE TOP 12 COMMITS OF THE LAST WEEK

In this week's Three-Point Stance Rivals Director of Recruiting Mike Farrell has two of Florida's commits ranked in the top 12 commits of the past week:

5) WR Jacob Copeland, Florida – Florida recruiting keeps on improving for 2018 and the momentum is off the hook. Copeland was expected, but his commitment could draw other top wide receivers and help with 2019 quarterback recruiting.

12) RB Dameon Pierce, Florida – The Gators add more offensive punch with a running back who can run with power but has good feet as well. He’ll help efforts in Georgia despite the fact that UGA wasn’t that interested.

FOUR-STAR HAS FLORIDA IN TOP SEVEN

In a bit of a surprise, Concord (N.C.) Rivals100 defensive tackle Rick Sandidge has Florida in his final seven. The Gators are likely a little down the list, but it beats where the other two in-state schools he visited (Florida State and Miami) at the same time stand.

FOUR-STAR BACK ON THE MARKET

Two weeks ago Florida became the first of the in-state Big Three to offer Plantation (Fla.) four-star linebacker/defensive end Andrew Chatfield. Read into it what you may, but over the weekend he tweeted out a Gators emoji before deleting it. On Monday, he decided to decommit from Ohio State.

FOUR-STAR SETS FLORIDA OFFICIAL VISIT

Though they picked up a transfer at the position on Sunday in the form of Marlon Dunlap [RELATED: Lineman transferring to Florida], at the halfway point of the 2018 recruiting cycle Florida has yet to gain a commitment from a defensive tackle.

However, that doesn't mean that the Gators aren't in the running for a couple of top targets at the position, including a four-star who says he has set a November official visit with the Gators.
