MIXED NEWS FROM THE WEEKEND

Though Florida didn't play host to any official visitors themselves, the Gators did received mixed news from targets who visited elsewhere.

After visiting Tennessee, four-star linebacker Quay Walker told Volquest here on the Rivals Network that he would no longer be officially visiting Florida on 2/2.

On the other hand, another Volunteer official visitor, Rivals100 wide out Warren Thompson, confirmed three more official visits with Volquest, including one to Florida.

FOUR-STAR CORNERBACK SETS FLORIDA OFFICIAL VISIT

In the Alley Adam Friedman reports that Washington (D.C.) H.D. Woodson Rivals250 cornerback Noah Boykin, who is a Maryland commit, will officially visit the Florida Gators.

FLORIDA COACHES VISIT WITH TWO TOP WIDE OUT TARGETS

Florida coaches visited with two of the top remaining wide receiver targets on the board on Friday when Dan Mullen and Ja'Juan Seider visited Clermont (Fla.) East Ridge four-star Justin Watkins and Billy Gonzales went to see Pensacola (Fla.) Escambia Rivals250 wide out Jacob Copeland.

FLORIDA TARGETS VISITING ACC SCHOOLS

Two of Florida's top remaining offensive line targets are visiting ACC programs this weekend. Tampa (Fla.) Cambridge Rivals10o tackle Richard Gouraige, who is committed to the Gators, but didn't sign during the early period, is visiting Clemson.

Meanwhile, top target, Apopka (Fla.) Rivals100 lineman William Barnes is taking his official visit to North Carolina.

On Thursday Florida extended an offer to Independence C.C. four-star defensive lineman Emmitt Gooden, the No. 14 ranked JUCO prospect in the nation.

The one time Arkansas commit has been looking at a couple of schools, including Kentucky and Arizona State.

Yuma (Az.) Western C.C. four-star defensive tackle Noah Jefferson first tweeted out that he was going to announce his college choice on 1/14, but then deleted that tweet. He followed it up with a tweet announcing he was down to Florida and Ole Miss as his two finalists.

A couple of weeks ago he named Florida as his outright leader.
