On Jan. 17, Marcus Tillman, a 6-foot-2, 195 pound outside linebacker from Orlando (Fla.) Jones High School, decommitted from Florida after being committed to the Gators since June of 2017.
“I would like to thank coach Jim McElwain, coach Kerry Dixon II and coach Corey Bell for giving me the opportunity to be a Florida Gator,” he said in a tweet. “I’ve decided to de-commit from the University of Florida at this time. Florida will still be at the top of my list in regards to the schools that I’m looking at.”
The Gators new coaching staff then “re-offered” Tillman six days later.
