RECRUITING WATCH:

There's nothing to report recruiting wise since he is signed and scheduled to begin classes at Florida in the coming week.

ANALYST BREAKDOWN:

"Very physical, aggressive and has good size. Could move to safety. A little bit too much holding in practice so needs to work on that." - Mike Farrell

"Dean was very physical this week from start to finish. He does a lot of holding in coverage, but he really mixed it up. He worked at cornerback and he could get a look there, but long-term, free safety may be where he is best. He is going to fill his frame out." - Chad Simmons

"One of my favorite defensive backs of the week, especially since he is a cornerback in a safeties body. Great length, good ball skills and plays with an edge. Also not afraid to go against anyone. Had a few great one-on-one reps against the biggest wide receiver in attendance, Justin Shorter." - Mark Pszonak

RECRUITING WATCH:

It is interesting that when this west coast based cornerback decommitted from UCLA, he immediately named three SEC programs as finalists in Auburn, Florida and Tennessee. He has visits set to the Gators (2/2) and Tigers. Michigan and Southern Cal are on him as well. You always have to like the Trojans chances with a Southern Cal kid.

ANALYST BREAKDOWN:

"He could be a five-star cornerback or safety, he's long, fluid, instinctual and effortless in what he does. Cocky and that's a good thing." - Mike Farrell

"Griffin played with confidence all week and he was locking receivers down. He has great short-space quickness and he can turn and run with top wide outs." - Chad Simmons

"I didn't see a ton of him, but everything I saw impressed me. Great instincts and ball skills, and plays hard all the time." - Mark Pszonak
