Mullen briefly shook hands with media members before moving on to address Gators cheerleaders and a small gathering of fans.
Inside the airport, Mullen showed off his 2008 national championship ring. Mullen was the offensive coordinator for Florida's last championship squad. He left for the Mississippi State job after the season. He told reporters that UF had mailed him the ring, but he had never worn it before.
The brief meet and greet with the new coach wrapped up with the family doing some more chomps. The coach pointed out he stressed right over left arm to his children.
