After winning 24-10 against Georgia in Jacksonville this past weekend for its third consecutive victory, Florida (6-1, 4-1 SEC) checked in at No. 11 in the College Football Playoff selection committee’s first rankings of the 2016 season released Tuesday night.
Florida has Arkansas, South Carolina, No. 13 LSU and No. 22 Florida State remaining on its schedule – good for the fifth-most difficult remaining schedule in the country. While Florida currently ranks 15th in ESPN’s FPI Index, it ranks 47th in the country in overall strength of schedule thanks to not playing a team up to this point in the season currently ranked in the top 25.
