Florida Gators Rivals100 Targets

When the Rivals100 was released on Tuesday afternoon though none of Florida's six current pledges were included, there were still quite a few items of good news when it came prospects considering the University of Florida.

After signing but one Rivals100 member last cycle, if those in the current rankings hold steady, rise or even fall just slightly, the Gators could actually land 4-5 at the very least this time around.

Listed below are the 19 Rivals100 members Florida is most involved with, but there are another handful who could have been included.

------

* Offer from Florida shakes things up for Upshaw

* Rivals250 lineman has Florida in top three

* Gators one of five new Tuesday offers for defensive end

* Florida sees quarterback, could offer

* Wire: Florida a finalist for R100 member

* 2019 star wide out grew up a Florida fan

* 2 MONTHS FREE ACCESS

TOP FLORIDA TARGETS, THE GATORS ARE LEADING OR IN THE TOP 2-3

QB

Justin Fields

Fields is the top quarterback target on Florida's board and though he will have to be pulled away from Penn State - the Gators are very much in the running. The key will be, can Florida get him on campus at all this summer?

12

DB

Tyreke Johnson

Georgia is trending upward, but Florida is still in very good position for Johnson if they make him a priority.

60

OT

William Barnes

From his very first update way back when until today, while others have risen and fallen, Florida has been the team consistently at the top of his list and are still in excellent shape.

73

DE

Jordan Davis

He is currently committed to Alabama, but this former Sunshine State resident has Florida in second and rising quickly.

87

WR

Anthony Schwartz

One of the biggest overall risers in the updated Rivals100. Florida is in terrific shape here. Actually, if he continues trending upward, by Signing Day he could be the Gators' highest rated commit.

96

OT

Richard Gouraige

Here is a situation where Florida was in-front, fell back a little, but have risen to the top once again.

CB

Patrick Surtain

He lists Florida in his top five, but this is seen as a Florida State - LSU battle with the Tigers his most likely landing spot. The Gators have such an uphill climb that he could have easily been included in the category below this one.

17

QB

Emory Jones

Jones has come right out and said that though he is committed to Ohio State, Florida is his clear cut runner-up. He will take an official visit to Gainesville this fall.

48

DT

Rick Sandidge

He had great things to say about Florida and Chris Rumph after he visited Florida in late April and has the Gators in his top 10. Who actually sits atop that top 10 though is a mystery.

55

WR

Warren Thompson

At one time Florida was in outstanding shape here, but currently trail Florida State for sure and even perhaps North Carolina and watch out for Alabama.

88

WR

Elijah Moore

Miami is thought to be the leader, but he says he wants to see Florida. It feels like the Gators have other priorities at the position.

DE

Micah Parsons

He has Florida in his top nine, but has yet to visit. Ohio State is thought to be in the best position for him.

9

CB

Anthony Cook

Here is another guy who released a list of top schools which included Florida, but again, he hasn't visited.

11

OL

Jamaree Salyer

Salyer has said in the past that Florida was in his top five, but that was well in the past now, and he has still yet to visit Gainesville. Georgia and Clemson are in good shape here.

16

RB

James Cook

Despite his commitment to Florida State, it seemed like for a little while Florida was making up ground. That no longer seems to be the case.

25

WR

Mark Pope

Though he is committed to Miami, he recently tweeted out that he considers himself open to be recruited. Florida was a player for him before, can the Gators be again?

36

WR

Brennan Eagles

The Gators have put more resources into recruiting the Houston area and he has Florida in his top 10.

50

DE

Max Wright

He included Florida in his recently released top 11, but many expect him to stay in-state (TX) when it's all said and done.

65

ATH

Justin Watkins

Watkins is included as a bit of a wild-card. He is already on his third commitment and he has visited Florida more than any of the schools he has been committed to. However, he recently moved further away from Gainesville. We'll see if he makes it to campus this fall.

84

WR

Jaylen Waddle

Florida was included in his recently released top 12, but he speaks of SEC schools Alabama, Georgia, LSU and TA&M more prominently than he does the Gators.
