Not much has been known about the recruiting process of Missouri City (Tx.) Fort Bend Marshall Rivals250 offensive guard Barton Clement.
While the 6-foot-4, 289-pounder has kept to himself for the most part as far as updates are concerned, that however doesn't mean that he isn't involved in the recruiting process.
Busy with spring ball, he just hasn't felt the need to update the world every step of the way.
“I'm doing what I have to do and letting the coaches come see me,” explained Clement. “Some of the recent coaches that came by were from [Texas] A&M, Florida and just yesterday (Tuesday) Ole Miss came by.”
Of the coaches who are recruiting him, Clement said that he feels like he has the best relationship with two of them.
“As of right now I feel like I have the best relationship with Coach [Jim] Turner, their [Texas A&M] o-line coach,” said Clement. “To me, he is a very straight-up coach. I feel like he is the most honest when he tells you what you need to do and where you stand. He's pretty straight forward.
“The other coach I like is the one at Florida [Brad Davis or Kerry Dixon?], he's fun and a real easy guy to talk to.”
Throughout the process Clement hasn't been one to give daily updates on his status whether it be through traditional media or on social media.
He is however ready to announce his top five.
