FIVE-STAR CORNERBACK OFFERED

Florida has been handing out offers hand over fist out on the west coast the first two days this week, but those offers were to prospects in the next two recruiting cycles.

Today the Gators extended an offer to a 2018 prospect, and it just happens to be one of the top kids in the country.

San Deigo (Calif.) Helix five-star cornerback Isaac Taylor-Stuart tweeted out that Florida has offered.

He is currently in Hawaii practicing in order to play in the Polynesian Bowl this Saturday. Next weekend he is officially visiting Alabama. No word yet on whether he will be able to make it to Gainesville.

GATORS GET GOOD NEWS

Probably the biggest and best news Florida will get today, really isn't even Gators' related.

Though he is listed as a commitment to Florida, Tampa (Fla.) Cambridge Rivals100 offensive lineman Richard Gouraige has been trending toward Auburn for awhile now. Part of the reason, if not the main reason is that UF didn't retain offensive line coach Brad Davis and in Herb Hand, the Tigers had an offensive line coach he really liked.

Now, Hand is on his way to Texas and with a Florida official visit still to take place in two weeks, the Gators are in much better shape than they were just a week ago.

If nothing else, this just goes to show that as a prospect, you always pick a school for the school, not the coach, who could be gone the second after you sign - if not before.
