OFFICIAL VISITORS

The Skinny: Florida's latest commitment will set foot on campus for the first time this weekend.

The Skinny: One of the first prospects Dan Mullen visited after being named Florida's head coach, Burney has been rock solid to the Gators since the day he committed. Nothing looks to change here.

The Skinny: It isn't often that the most anticipated official visitor is a kicker, but that is the case this weekend with McPherson, the No. 1 rated kicker in the nation, coming in. As an added bonus, there's a chance that we get some clarity as to where Eddy Pineiro stands as far as leaving early or coming back for another season.

The Skinny: With Ja'Juan Seider remaining on staff, there was do doubting that Pierce was going to remain on the commitment list. However, during his last visit to campus, he said that he did plan on taking some visits. We'll see if it happens.

The Skinny: This is an interesting visit placement because with as gung-ho as Russell is for Florida and as much as he recruits for the Gators, I would have expected that he would have been brought in on a weekend when there are more uncommitted prospects on campus so that he could put in some work on them.

UNOFFICIAL VISITOR

The Skinny: Though he remains committed to Florida State, Meadows is unofficially visiting Florida this weekend and officially in January. The fact that he stuck with the Seminoles through the down season and coaching change is a pretty good indication that he says he is open, it isn't going to be easy for the Gators to pry him away.
