Youth plays in Robinson's favor

Inside the Gators

It hasn’t taken long for Christian Robinson to establish himself among the SEC coaching ranks. The Florida Gators new linebackers coach was added to Dan Mullen’s staff after spending one year at Mississippi State with Mullen, two years at Ole Miss and two years at his alma mater University of Georgia.

This will be his first season taking the step up from a graduate assistant position.

Robinson was a linebacker for the Dawgs from 2009-2012 (he had eight tackles against the Gators in his career) and was a part of back-to-back SEC East division titles. In 2013 he began his coaching career between the hedges and started cultivating practices and relationships that would come to symbolize the impact he’s already making as an SEC coach.

“I met Coach Rob when I was University of Georgia my freshman year and it was always a bond, like a brother bond or a father figure,” says Ole Miss linebacker Detric Bing-Dukes.
