It has been more than four weeks since Florida (3-6, 3-5 SEC) had a home game in The Swamp. With UAB (7-3) in town, UF hopes to ends its five-game losing skid. Here are five keys to the Gators getting their first win since Sept. 30:
1. Make UAB one dimensional
On average, the Blazers favor the run (210.5 yards per game) to the pass (175.7 yards per game). UAB's ground game is led by freshman Spencer Brown, who is averaging 5.69 yards per carry and has rushed for at least 128 yards in five of his last six games.
With Florida's recent struggles to stop the run, UAB will likely try to let Brown and company lead the way and run to set up the pass. If Florida can take away the run, the secondary should be able to successfully defend the pass.
2. Give the offense good field position
