Huntington (WV) Spring Valley four-star offensive tackle Doug Nester is one of the most coveted linemen in the Class of 2019, with offers already from the likes of Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Oklahoma, North Carolina and Tennessee.

On Friday the 6-foot-4, 280-pound big man worked out at Florida's first camp session of the summer.

“It was really good,” Nester said of his camp experience. “The coaching was great and all the drills were good. I felt like I got a little bit better today.”

Being from the Mountaineer State, Nester was already familiar with former West Virginia coach Ja'Juan Seider.

According to Nester, that is a positive for the Gators.

“That I already know someone on staff is great and I have a great relationship already with him and his son Jaden,” explained Nelson. “Me and his son actually went to school together, so we've been friends for a while.”

Friday though was his first extensive interaction with new Florida offensive line coach Brad Davis.

“He's a great guy, a great coach all around,” said Nelster. “It's nice to meet him finally.”

When asked what stood out about the staff, Nester replied, “Just how personable they are. They are very personable. They like to get to know you and everything.”

Nester's first trip to the Sunshine State has raised Florida's profile with him.

“Is definitely high up there,” he said of Florida. “It's a great place, I love it.”

Florida is hardly alone in their pursuit of him.

He visited Virginia Tech and Ohio State over the spring and he plans summer trips to Alabama as well as a return trip to OSU.

Nester said that Ohio State is his childhood favorite and receiving an offer from the Buckeyes is a dream come true.
