Florida entered Texas A&M week with six players – all starters or key contributors – on the injury report. At Wednesday's post-practice press conference, head coach Jim McElwain did not have many positive updates to relay.
Senior safety Nick Washington remains out, which means Florida will count on freshman safety Shawn Davis to step up.
"He'll see more this week. And you know, that's what I love," McElwain said. "Shawn Davis didn't give up that touchdown. He just happened to be trying to cover for somebody else that should have been there, and yet this is the guy that gets the blame for it but that's all right."
On offense, two of the team's top playmakers are doubtful for Saturday's game.
