Dan Mullen may have another spot to fill on his 2018 coaching staff.

Defensive line coach Chris Rumph is expected to take a position at Tennessee, according to Bruce Feldman.

Rumph's reason for heading to Tennessee appears to be the same reason he came to Florida in 2015: an Alabama reunion. Rumph, Jeremy Pruitt and Jim McElwain were all Crimson Tide assistants during UA's 2011 BCS championship season. Pruitt remained on the staff through the 2012 season and Rumph through 2013.

At Florida, Rumph held the title of defensive line coach all three seasons. He became the co-defensive coordinator for the 2017 season and the primary defensive coordinator after McElwain's departure from UF.

Mullen has so far hired three assistants: Todd Grantham, Billy Gonzales and John Hevesy. Grantham has the title of defensive coordinator while Gonzales and Hevesy are officially listed as assistant coaches. Rumph was one of four assistants, along with offensive line coach Brad Davis, running backs coach Ja'Juan Seider and linebackers coach Tim Skipper. Mullen retained from the 2017 staff to continue recruiting.
