Last Tuesday Florida extended offers to Miami (Fla.) Norland offensive line teammates Wardrick Wilson and Isaiah Walker.

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound Wilson has since received offers from Bowling Green, Kentucky and South Florida.

As for the Florida offer, it came via a name that rings familiar in the halls of Norland High School.

“Randy Shannon of the Florida Gators offered me, but I haven't really got to talk to him,” said Wilson.

Those who have offered are hardly the only programs who have taken notice of him.

“I get mail and interest from Miami, Arkansas, Louisville, Utah and a lot of other bigger schools,” said Wilson.

On the surface his list of suitors may not be so impressive when compared to other South Florida prospects who have double digit offer lists.

However, keep in mind that Wilson - who is originally from the Bahamas - has only played organized football for one year.

He has only begun to scrape the surface of his potential.

Wilson will visit Florida in the first week of June with several of his coaches and perhaps a couple of teammates.

When asked if he had any favorite schools, the 2019 prospect replied, “Gators, UM, Louisville and LSU.”
